Not every lawyer who goes to court is ready to try a case. At Wolfe & Wyman, we have a dedicated Trial Team of experienced, tenacious and creative lawyers with extensive trial experience and who genuinely love to try cases.
Trial before a judge or jury is the ultimate expression of the litigation process. The time for negotiation is over – now it’s time to roll up our sleeves and present our case. This is when our Trial Team really shines. Our Trial Team is made up of experienced trial Partners and Senior Counsel as well as “Rising Star” associates and paralegals who have significant trial experience in their own right. Our Trial Team includes members of the country’s most prestigious trial societies, including the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and the Litigation Counsel of America.
Clients who regularly use Wolfe & Wyman for their litigated matters have the peace of mind that a seasoned, experienced trial lawyer will always be available should their case not be resolved by settlement or dispositive motion. Our Trial Team also takes over cases from other law firms who may feel less comfortable in the courtroom or suddenly want to settle a case just to avoid having to try it. In such cases, we welcome the challenge and are ready, willing and able to try most cases on reasonably short notice.
For clients with smaller matters that do not otherwise make economic sense to try, we have pioneered a streamlined “ME-AFT” program (Modest Exposure-Alternative Fee Trial). In the appropriate case, we offer a single, fixed-fee through verdict that allows smaller exposure cases to be tried by our Rising Star Trial Team members. Our ME-AFT program gives clients access to jury trials for a new class of cases while allowing us to better prepare the next generation of our trial attorneys.
Our Trial Team has experience utilizing the latest courtroom technology including Trial Director, video animation, and compelling PowerPoint presentations for both argument and examination. We have taken juries out of the courtroom on judicially supervised site visits. We have utilized both complete mock trials as well as abbreviated focus groups in preparation for our case. And of course, we provide daily trial reports in whatever format requested by the client.
